The intention with this special issue is to identify, analyse and reflect upon the questions, dynamics and challenges, namely those which are socially based, which today confront the increasingly in demand teaching-learning of Portuguese in non-mother tongue contexts (PNMT); in addition, we seek to consider the ways and means to be adopted or that already have been adopted, in this context, when, for example, faced with educational policies connected to sustainable development, mass migration and the increasingly commonplace presence of digital cultures. In this light, the main themes under discussion are as follows: - the teaching of PNMT where Portuguese has official status - the teaching of PNMT and digital pedagogy - the teaching of PNMT and migrant communities - PNMT as a language for the reception of refugees - the teaching of PNMT and sustainable development Papers should be submitted before the 31st of December 2019 and will subject to a double blind peer review process. |
