Update on Peer Review Process – Apologies and Next Steps

Dear authors and contributors of Revelar: Revista de Fotografia e Imagem,

We sincerely apologize for the delay in the peer review process of your submitted articles. This setback was due to:

a) Technical challenges with the new submission platform, requiring additional adjustments;
b) Reductions in the editorial team, which affected the proper monitoring of submissions.

We recognize the importance of your work and the time invested in your submission. To mitigate the impact of this delay, we suggest the following options:

  1. Keep the original submission – We guarantee all articles will be reviewed by December 2025;

  2. Submit an updated version – If you wish to include corrections or additions, a new submission is welcome;

  3. Withdraw the submission – We fully understand, given the prolonged process.

Additionally, we will open a new call for submissions soon, and the next issue of the journal will be published by March 2026.

We deeply appreciate your patience and understanding. We are committed to improving our processes and valuing your contribution to the field of photography and image.
