PORTVGALIA adopts an open access policy, with a view to promoting the global dissemination of scientific research results, the discussion of issues, and the transparent construction of knowledge.

Each new issue of PORTVGALIA is made available immediately on the journal’s website, offering free and immediate access to the content and allowing any user to read, download, copy, distribute, and print it. PORTVGALIA uses the Creative Commons license https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/

Reading, as well as transferring or downloading, sharing and printing in full the articles published in all volumes of PORTVGALIA, is permanent, completely free, and free of charge.

PORTVGALIA maintains a paper edition (printed in black and white), with a limited circulation of 200 copies, essential for maintaining the exchange system established through the Central Library of the Faculty of Arts of the University of Porto, which ensures free exchange with more than 150 similar periodical publications, both national and international.
