Sensibilidade e política: um olhar poético a tudo atento

O presente artigo procura compreender melhor o modo como as dimensões militar e civil se articulam no panorama social e político da sociedade democrática portuguesa. Cinquenta anos volvidos da transição para um sistema democrático representativo, consideramos que a reflexão em torno do aparente obstáculo epistémico e teleológico que as forças armadas podem configurar, se constitui como um elemento fundamental para a compreensão das interações entre os militares e o poder em democracia.

The following paper seeks to better understand how the military dimension articulates with the civil dimension in the social and political scenario of Portuguese democratic society. Fifty years after the transition to a representative democratic system, we consider that the deliberation on the apparent epistemic and teleological obstacle that the armed forces can personify, constitutes a fundamental element for understanding the interactions between the military and power in democracy.
