Abstract

Without any doubt, one of the most relevant knights of the Arthurian world is Bors, due to his exploits and being one of the members of what can be called 'the Holy Grail triad'.However, despite his importance and prestige, he has been overshadowed by the imposing figures of Lancelot of the Lake, his cousin, and Galahat, Lancelot's son, with whom he shares adventures and feats of arms. The purpose of this paper is to reconstruct this character's biography to try to understand what image of him may have been held in Late Medieval Castile and in the first third of the 16th century, and how he could have been interpreted.
