This research explores the role of prison libraries in the social reintegration of inmates, focusing on programs that promote the emotional, educational, and social development of incarcerated individuals. The methodology used is qualitative, under the constructivist paradigm, employing a documentary research method and utilizing scientific databases for this purpose. The study focuses on the importance of libraries in correctional facilities as supportive spaces, providing tools for literacy, strengthening family bonds, and mental health support. The analysis demonstrates how programs contribute to reintegration by improving inmates' self-esteem and employability. Additionally, it discusses the need for qualified librarians and adequate infrastructure to implement these initiatives. The study concludes that prison libraries play a crucial role in transforming public perception of inmates, promoting a more just and humane society by enabling the reintegration of incarcerated individuals after their release.
