Information Science, in its technological and social approach, interprets the Web as a space for communication and information preservation and has dedicated itself to studying resources for the efficient presentation and representation of information. Access to Memory and Archivematica are free software programs applicable to the curation of digital objects in information services as is the case of the Fundação Arquitecto José Marques da Silva collection. The aim is to analyse the convergences between these programs, addressing issues of Information Design and Digital Curation in the Marques da Silva/Moreira da Silva Information System. A theoretical-exploratory and descriptive methodology is used, analysing the digital-virtual environment for diagnosis. Issues were identified that touch on Information Design, Digital Curation, and the historical-cultural relevance of the collection, demonstrating the need for care in the representation and presentation of information and the use of free software tools to provide a good user experience.
