Abstract

The paper addresses the background of the recognition theory that is clearly raised by Hegel in order to the development outlined by Rousseau. First, I present an analysis of the concepts related to recognition in their works and then I make a comparison between Hegel and Rousseau. Finally, I note the similarities and differences on the theory of recognition in both authors.
