Pascal, a justiça e os poderes

Resumo

A perfect master of a living style and a persuasive rhetoric, a respected scientist and mathematician, theologian, or at least strong and formidable apologist, Pascal is regarded as one of the greatest minds and of the most beautiful verb in French Thought. However, his philosophical reflections on law, justice and power and the powerful are less known, or boil down to the anecdote. In this article, after having recalled several facets of this figure in European culture, we emphasize its speculative contribution to the law, and highlight more than its timeliness, which is undeniable, the visible commitment of the author with what he thinks may be the Truth. Even in a field proverbially inclined to embarrassment and manipulations like this one of laws and politics.
