Aims and scope
CEM – Cultura, Espaço & Memória (CEM – Culture, Space & Memory) is a journal dedicated to disseminate original Social Sciences and Humanities research, edited by the research unit CITCEM – Center for Transdisciplinary Research Culture, Space and Memory.
With a biannual periodicity and exclusively online since 2023, the journal accomplishes a double-blind arbitration model. It aims to create a space for interdisciplinary dialogue, reflecting not only the CITCEM researchers scientific production but also the work of other national and international authors.
The journal includes a thematic section, as well as a section of other studies, books reviews, news, and interviews, that could be written in Portuguese, Spanish, French, and English.
The journal has been edited by CITCEM (since 2010). The journal's direction is under the responsibility of the Scientific Coordinator of the Center and of the Editorial Board, which includes the editor responsible for the thematic section of each issue of CEM.
The edition of the journal have the support of the Publications Office of the Documentation and Information Services of FLUP, namely in the management of the OJS platform, in collaboration with the Editorial Board.
The journal is referenced and indexed in the following international databases: J4F, JURN, Latindex (Mexico), JISC, WorldCat, ULRICHS WEB, and CAPES.
