III Encontro Nacional de Estudantes de Geografia (ENEG’23)
Abstract
Geography Students’ National Meetings are not new in our country. Contrary
to what would be expected for a century-old science, until recently, a National Geography
Student Meeting had not yet been organized, at least formally, a gap filled, as of 2019, the date
of the meeting of the first edition, in Coimbra. This brief note specifically refers to the themes
and organization of the third edition of the congress, held in Évora (2023), where, for the first
time, the theme of teaching was formally integrated, allowing reflection on some of the main
challenges facing training of teachers. The article refers to several of the activities parallel to
the meeting, especially excursions to various places in the Alentejo region.
